Brixton Sessions

‘Frogs Legs and Sausages’

Fresh off a plane and with dinner obviously on his mind, Pierre Omer recently performed Frogs Legs and Sausages for Brixton Sessions before his show at The Windmill.

Touring his second solo album ‘Do The Gipsy Thing’, The Dead Brothers founder member Pierre is joined by drummer Julian to deliver this performance in the setting of Nas Barbour Shop – with Nas’ team continuing to deliver the freshest cuts as we filmed the performance.

Pierre Omer released four albums with legendary Swiss funeral rock’n’roll band The Dead Brothers, playing the twangy and swing guitars and the accordion, and writing many of the band’s songs. Having begun his solo career in 2007, ‘Do The Gipsy Thing’ follows on from Pierre’s first release, ‘See What’s Hidden’, and is an album that as well as exploring American roots music, it takes you down gold mines in Africa, tells you the story of Willy Wolf the Swiss butcher, offers gypsy driving lesions, and explores primitive Switzerland cooking.

You can hear more of Pierre’s musical tales at one of his upcoming summer shows:
