‘Sweet Release’
Making an overdue return to The Windmill, Brixton Sessions lapped up performances from 3 acts at the venue this week – all of whom were visiting from their native New Zealand.
The first to grace the site is folk-pop beauty Hannah Curwood. Introducing Brixton Sessions to its first violin/guitar/double bass arrangement, Hannah delivers an intense yet friendly performance, weaving a delicate balance between dulcet pop melodies and something darker and more ambient.
Hannah has been touring the UK throughout June – August with her latest record ‘The Blind Love EP’ – an album that was self funded, completed within 3 days and released through her own label Luggate Records – demonstrating Curwood’s obvious passion and commitment to her craft.
And it’s not just us that thinks she’s great
