Brixton Sessions

‘Sinful Wishing Well’

With Caitlin’s show at The Windmill sold out well in advance of the performance date, this week’s Brixton Session offers punters a snippet of the talent that many were unable to attend at last week’s gig.

Caitlin Rose, the 23 year old from Tennessee, has recently been winning over critics on both sides of the Atlantic. Caitlin’s singing voice has been compared to the likes of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, and her lyric writing ability is often cited as being well beyond her years. Her mother, Liz Rose, is a Grammy-winning songwriter, and the ability seems to be hereditary.

There’s a mature head on these young shoulders, and a world-weariness that suggests life hasn’t always been so rosy.

Caitlin’s debut ‘Own Side Now’ has been described as an ‘emotional rollercoaster’, and she is frequently referred to as ‘the real deal’ – a credential that we hope is cemented in this Session.

Caitlin is going on to bigger things, and we wish her all the luck she clearly won’t need.
