During a trip over from across the pond to perform his first gigs on UK soil, gifted pop-rocker Bleu took the time to come and visit us at our Blindeye Films offices to play two tracks for us.
Bleu is over in the UK to promote his latest album ‘Four’, a dynamic, highly personal record with an extraordinary back-story.
“It’s changed my whole world,” says singer-songwriter-producer Bleu. “I have a completely new outlook on my career and my life. It sounds dramatic, but it’s really true.”
This is Bleu’s response to the astonishing generosity of his fans, who helped him raise some $27,000 (£17,000) in a single week following the launch of his campaign on DIY fundraising site Kickstarter. Bleu was stunned by the enthusiasm of his loyal fan base, “I was playing a show a couple of weeks ago and told everybody about the whole thing,” he recalls. “I started crying onstage.”
Whilst there were no tears in Brixton, the passion and honesty of Bleu’s attitude towards the record still shone through. We wish Bleu all the best as he continues his trip of the UK and beyond.
