This week Brixton Sessions took its first trip to Brixton Jamm to capture the joyous folk pop band Antarctica Takes It!. Label and club night hosts How Does It Feel To Be Loved? kindly invited us along before the show at Jamm to capture two performances by the guys, who were over in the UK touring their latest album “Constellations”.
A bedroom band from Santa Cruz, CA, Antartica Takes It! were put together by young front man Dylan McKeever. Having recorded their debut album ‘The Penguin League’ straight onto a friend’s laptop, Dylan proclaimed before the recording of Constellations that this time things would be done differently – “This time we’re using a microphone”.
Catchy, fun and energetic, Dylan and the gang serve up a refreshing performance for Brixton Sessions.
